The NT Writers’ Centre announces inaugural NT Writing Awards
Join us for the 2026 NT Writing Awards Ceremony, a special evening celebrating writing in and about the Territory!
Bringing together for the first time, the Northern Territory three premier literary awards—the NT Book Awards, the NT History Book Award, and the NT Literary Awards, NT History Book Award and NT Book Awards—the ceremony celebrates outstanding literary talent and recognises excellence across published and unpublished writing.
Taking place in Darwin with a satellite event in Alice Springs and streaming online, the NT Writing Awards will bring every corner of NT together over an uplifting evening of entertainment and refreshments this September to honour the diverse voices, stories and histories that enrich the Northern Territory’s literary landscape.
Whether you’re a writer, reader, publisher, historian or passionate supporter of Territory storytelling, join us to celebrate the people and works shaping the Northern Territory’s vibrant literary community.
