Queer Writes

Write, share and celebrate queer stories in a 2 hour writing workshop.

Queer Writes has been running on Larrakia country since 2022, formed as a means to connect community and create a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ folk to share their words, truths and wonderings without judgement. Each session runs for up to 2 hours and consists of a variety of writing prompts, designed to elicit diverse, joyful and sometimes sad stories. Sharing is encouraged but not mandatory. This workshop is capped at 10 places. It is a relaxed welcoming space designed for folk who like to write but maybe don’t do enough of it.

She writes about the realities of life in the NT with warmth, humour and heartbreaking honesty, always with the hope of creating connection with others. She is delighted to bring this workshop to the beautiful country of Mparntwe and grateful to be here.
