Emerging Writers Group – August
Want to get writing and meet other writers in Mparntwe/ Alice Springs?
The Emerging Writers Group is a place for would-be writers, not-quite writers, and anyone who needs time and space to put words onto the page.
In each session, a facilitator takes writers through a series of exercises and prompts providing the opportunity to create and share work in a supportive and stimulating environment.
This month’s theme is Tense Editing
Using tenses to change perspective, and learning how to relax with them!
Maybe we were daydreaming about stories when the grammar lesson came along and tried to teach us about past, present and future tenses, plus all the other tenses that we use but can’t explain easily.
In this simple, continuous and perfect writing session, we will look at basic ways to ensure continuity of time, or play with it to create time travel where the past becomes perfect.
