Edge of the Future: Youth Climate Writing Workshop

A creative climate writing workshop for 12-18yr olds in Mparntwe/Alice Springs.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR | Victoria Alondra is a multidisciplinary mother and artist whose work explores the intersections of joy and resistance, identity, displacement, violence and the cosmos. Born in Anáhuac (México), she draws strength and inspiration from her family roots as she turns her focus towards the possibility of new worlds.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP | Join artist, poet, activist and performer Victoria Alondra to explore creative responses to climate change and the future, and get the chance to create your own poetry with expert guidance and mentorship. Learn how to voice your concerns, fears, hopes, dreams and ideas through your writing, and have the option to rehearse and film your poetry for prize submission. No previous experience is required.

This multi-sensory workshop also includes presentations by Arid Lands Environment Centre and the Westside Community Gardens.
