Wendy Ludwig

Ngatkali – Wendy Ludwig –is a Darwin born, raised and educated Kungarakan and Gurindji woman with a long history in the tertiary education, training and employment sectors as a lecturer, administrator and manager.

Wendy has a strong commitment to training, education and employment and is a strong advocate for the Creative Arts industry.

Wendy’s involvement and governance experience on community committees and boards of management demonstrate her commitment to the strengthening, revitalisation and growth of the social, economic, political, and cultural well-being of communities and regions, including:

Creative Director – Garrmalang Festival 2022 -23 Darwin Entertainment Centre;
Darwin Entertainment Centre Board of Directors 2016-2022;
Literacy for Life Foundation Board Director 2018 – Current;
Museum and Art Gallery of the NT (MAGNT) Board Director 2021- Current;
Centre of Contemporary Arts (COCA) Cairns Foundation Board member and Deputy Chairperson 2003 – 2006;

Wendy holds a number of tertiary qualifications culminating in being
awarded an Honorary Doctorate – Doctor of Education – by WINU (World Indigenous Nations University – Canada/Hawaii) in recognition of her lifelong contributions to Indigenous education and training in 2017.
