Cj Fraser-Bell

Cj is an interdisciplinary artist and organiser living and working on Larrakia country. Primarily focussed on the making and development of performance practice in their role as an Artistic Associate at Brown’s Mart, Cj also has credits as a designer, writer, performer, director, Stage Manager, and as the former Director of the Darwin Fringe Festival (2014-18).

Cj’s poetry is published in the Australian Poetry Anthology 2019, and through their self published zine practice, and their plays and projects have been presented in Darwin Festival, This is Not Art (Mulubinba Newcastle) and at Australian Theatre for Young People (Gadigal Sydney).

In 2019 Cj was Artist in Residence at the Northern Territory Library with their project Queer Territory, uncovering and juxtaposing a queer lens on the collections through writing, visual work, installation, and performance. Cj also runs zine workshops, writes fan-fiction, and wants to start an NT trans artist collective (email me!)
