Expressions of Interest | NTWF 2021
Expressions of Interest are currently open for NT writers* to be programmed in the 2021 NT Writers Festival, taking place in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) from 26-29 August.
Bringing people together to share story, language and culture, NT Writers Festival is a four-day festival shaped by place, that speaks to and from the heart of Australia and the Northern Territory.
In 2021 writers and storytellers will come together under the theme: anpernirrentye | ever
This year’s theme draws from the Arrernte concept of anpernirrentye, the Arrernte relationship system, which describes the way in which everything is connected to everything else – people, animals, land, language and culture. Last year our interconnectedness with the larger web of life was illuminated like never before, as we reckoned with firestorms, floods and a global pandemic, and felt the fragility of the systems we depend upon. This festival we bring our minds to anpernirrentye and the connections between all things.
If you are an NT writer producing fresh, new work, or with a significant body of published/produced work, who would like to participate in the festival as a writer, performer, teaching writer, facilitator or panellist, we would like to hear from you! If you have another creative idea, please pitch it to us.
