- The subsidies cover transport (by plane, bus or train) to the value of $225 and/or a 20% discount on the standard rate of three nights’ accommodation at Hudson Apartments, Parap;
- You do not have to accept both forms of subsidy (e.g. you could stay with family members);

*If you change your mind after purchasing tickets or are no longer able to attend NTWF 2022, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reallocate your subsidy to someone else.

Whether you’re in the early stages of drafting or ready to pitch to publishers, this one-on-one consultation with award-winning NT author, Johanna Bell, is designed to help take your picture book to the next stage of development.
All you need to provide is a synopsis and a draft manuscript (up to 600 words), to get the process underway. We’ll then set up a 30-minute zoom or phone chat with Johanna, who will provide you with a written summary report to help guide you. If you’re also illustrating your book, or working with an illustrator, feel free to send a storyboard, roughs or sample artworks.

2022 Chief Minister’s NT Book Awards
Submissions to the 2022 Chief Minister’s NT Book Awards are now CLOSED.
Northern Territory authors with books published in 2020 & 2021 were invited to enter.
Since 2009, the awards have celebrated excellence amongst published authors residing in the NT. They draw national attention to NT writers and in the past have served to raise the profile of remote, regional and Indigenous voices. The awards take place biennially and in 2022, thanks to the generosity of Chief Minister Michael Gunner and the Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund, we are again pleased to open three categories – fiction, non-fiction and children’s/young adult – with a prize of $10, 000 for the winner of each category and $1, 000 for the shortlisted titles.
