NTWF Writing Residency
The NT Writers’ Centre is delighted to announce a brand new NTWF Writing Residency, made possible through the generous support of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
This exciting opportunity offers two writers currently residing in Mparntwe | Alice Springs a two week stipend ($750 p/w) to enable them to devote themselves to working on a writing project of their choice, along with a free pass to all events at NTWF 2021. Designed to allow writers to make use of the inspiration that the rich intellectual atmosphere of the festival can spark, the residency is to be taken up within three months of the festival’s conclusion. Successful applicants may work on a new or existing piece of writing, and will have a chance to encounter other artists’ work but also to focus on their own.
Two successful applicants will have the option to write from home, from a space at 67 Bath Street, Alice Springs, or at a combination of the two.
All writers are encouraged to apply, including, but not limited to, young and emerging writers and writers from diverse backgrounds. Applicants must reside in Alice Springs.
Applications close midnight, Sunday 8 August.APPLY NOW
