Veronica Gorrie

Veronica Gorrie is an award-winning Gunai/Kurnai woman who lives and writes in Victoria. Her highly-acclaimed first book, Black and Blue (2021), won the 2022 Victorian Premier’s Prize for Literature and the 2022 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Indigenous Writing. Veronica is the editor of the 2024 book When Cops Are Criminals, a powerful indictment of the criminal behaviour of police officers, and a call for institutional reform.
