Uti Kulintjaku Watiku (Men’s) Collective

The Uti Kulintjaku Watiku are a team of respected senior and younger Anangu (Aboriginal people) from across the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara lands who have been working together since 2016 to strengthen Anangu identity, increase peoples’ wellbeing and promote healing, to prevent family violence. Their language-based resources include the award-winning Tjanimaku Tjukurpa. ‘Uti kulintjaku’ is a Pitjantjatjara phrase that translates as ‘to listen, think and understand clearly’. The Uti Kulintjaku Watiku (men’s) project is an initiative of the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Women’s Council (NPYWC).
