Royelene Hill

Born in Rockhampton, Royelene grew up in country towns of Western Queensland. She came to the Northern Territory in 1973 to work as a governess / teacher on a remote cattle station. Having spent 27 years out bush in the Victoria River District she and her husband Darryl moved to Katherine in 2000. At that time their daughters Tamlyn and Claire had spread their wings to attend universities in the NT and Qld.

Royelene has been a member of the Katherine Region Of Writers coming up 24 years and has contributed to 9 KROW anthologies. She has a long standing interest in the history and people of the Northern Territory documenting her life experiences and those of others. Royelene writes strictly for enjoyment.
