Maureen Nampijinpa O’Keefe

Maureen Nampijinpa O’Keefe is a Kaytetye Warlpiri woman from Ali Curung remote community, 400kms north of Mparntwe Alice Springs. She is an award winning and widely published writer and poet, with work translated into Croatian, French and Spanish. She is the director of the Water Justice Project demanding water rights for her community. Maureen is a founding member of Running Water Community Press  – the first author run co-operative publisher in the world.
