Charlene Ericson

Charlene was born and raised in a small town in North Queensland and moved to Darwin in 2013 along with her husband and identical twin daughters.
Not long after moving to the NT, Charlene became unwell and soon after found out that she had Ovarian Cancer. Keeping a journal through her experience helped her not only remember important instructions given to her by a range of health professionals but it also gave her something to concentrate on. Since getting the all clear in 2015, with the help of some very good friends, she turned her journal into a memoir.
Her career background has been in the media industry for the past 10 years, so she has some fantastic support with advertising and promotions with her first published book ‘Battle Scars’.
Charlene is on a mission to help spread awareness of Ovarian Cancer signs and symptoms, hoping to decrease the scary survival statistics.
Early detection is the key to survival and all women must be aware.
